About Trainoc
Announcement: Now booking for 2020-2021
Who we are
TrainOC Portable Obstacle Course was founded in 2013 by United States military veteran and world class athlete James Short.
Our team consists of fitness professionals with multiple decades of experience, competitive athletes, and former military service men and women that live by a code of dedication to excellence.
What we do
TrainOC provides onsite immersive fitness experiences using real obstacles (not inflatables). We are 100% mobile and at present do not have a physical gym location. We bring the fun and thrill of obstacle course to you!
Why we do it
Based on principles used by the US military, special forces, and elite athletes around the world, Train OC seeks to build strong, confident, and courageous leaders using the obstacle course as a teaching and training tool.
We seek to help our participants identify their personal strengths and weaknesses in order to develop and use them to their advantage and break down barriers in order to achieve a greater level of excellence in fitness, business, and life.
In other words, “We help people overcome obstacles-literally!”
OUR MISSION
We exist to create strong, confident, and courageous leaders via unique obstacle course experiences
OUR MOTTO
Learn The Skills
Find Your Strength
Conquer The Course
Who we serve
We are proud to offer our obstacle course programs to schools, companies, and communities throughout our home state of Colorado and the rest of the continental USA
A few samples of the programs we offer include:
– Elementary school field day and fitness programs
– Corporate team building programs
– Event rentals for festivals, fairs, private parties
– Fundraising opportunities for organizations and teams
Where we’ve been
We are proud to be a Colorado owned and operated company! To date we’ve coached thousands of children and adults to conquer the obstacle course and helped raise hundreds of thousand of dollars for schools and charitable organizations in our home state. To date we’ve traveled as far as Washington state to deliver our onsite programming.
How we’re making a difference
We aim to instill a lifelong love of fitness by making it FUN! The obesity epidemic is crippling our youngest generation, with 18.5% of 2-19 year olds categorized as obese.1
Developing healthy habits at a young age has shown to help prevent a variety of health risk factors, including diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and high blood pressure, to name a few. Studies have also shown that regular physical activity helps to improve focus and creativity, and confidence.2
We are committed to providing programming that supports physical education programs in schools and health initiatives around the country.
Additionally, we seek to support our local community each year with our Annual Give Back Charity Boot Camp to support Food Bank Of The Rockies and Coats For Colorado
